Youth Services

Collaborate Nottawasaga has representatives from many youth service agencies. These agencies’ services and supports are for children and youth with complex needs, as well as their families. Services are provided in the areas of Child and Youth Mental Health and Youth Justice supports. Learn more below:

Highlands Youth for Christ is a regional chapter of Youth for Christ Canada. Highlands YFC currently serves the youth and families in the communities of Alliston, Arthur, Collingwood, Erin, Centre Wellington, Grand Valley, Guelph, Huntsville, Mt Forest, Orangeville, Shelburne, and Stayner.

Community Serve was designed with the purpose of allowing teens to experience the impact that serving others can have on their lives in manageable ways within their community. It was also created with the intention of bridging the gap we often see between the general public of our community and our teenagers.

This program is intended to have the same backbone in each YFC/YU Community while also having the flexibility for each staff to adjust it however they see fit. For example some communities partner with their local food bank and soup kitchens, while others find small jobs around town such as shoveling driveways and picking up trash.

In Simcoe & Muskoka, Simcoe Muskoka Family Connexions is one of 2 organizations legally mandated to protect children and youth from abuse and neglect. We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors who are elected from within the community. Programs and services are developed in response to the needs of children, youth, and families in our community.

Youth Haven supports youth experiencing homelessness by providing safe shelter, programs & services, in an atmosphere of respect & dignity.

Kids Help Phone is Canada’s only 24/7, national support service. We offer professional counselling, information and referrals and volunteer-led, text-based support to young people in both English and French.

Services are free and geared for youth aged 12 – 25. You can just walk-in or use our “Save-A-Spot in line” function to virtually line up. A 10 minute text reminder will let you know when it is your turn. The team includes health care from a Nurse Practitioner, specialized youth mental health worker, and peer support specialist.
